The main subject is the ‘Vereenvoudigde spelling’ or ‘Spelling Kollewijn’. This was a proposal for a modernization of the spelling of Dutch, developed by R.A. Kollewijn (1857-1942). The brochures and pamphlets are for the greater part written by advocates of the new spelling, united in the ‘Vereniging tot Vereenvoudiging van onze Schrijftaal’. Added: 7 small brochures on the spelling reform of 1934, the so called ‘Spelling Marchant’. Also added 5 later publications, among which ‘Het Nederlandse spellingdrama’ (1967).
